Reclaiming Jesus is a Blog that will attempt to uncover who the real Jesus is and what the Scriptures truly have to say about our Lord and Savior.
The world - as well as many Christians - have taken the real Jesus and turned him into something unrecognizable. People no longer want to admit Jesus talked more about Heaven than Hell. That He rebuked sinners and said He is the only way to Salvation. (John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. NIV 2011)
There are too many people who enjoy the "salad bar Jesus" where they take what they find palatable and disregard the rest as unappetizing and unnecessary.
Reclaiming Jesus is also a Blog that will look at my attempt to make Jesus the Lord of my life. For too many years, I kept Him "on the shelf". I knew He was there, but I didn't pay much attention to Him.
In this Blog, I will also be looking at Scriptures throughout the Bible, various ministries, how the media deals with Christianity, pretty much anything dealing with the God, the Bible and Christianity.
I am excited about this journey.
